인도태평양전략연구원 원장 최수용 최근 북한과 중국의 군사적 위협이 극에 달하고 있다. 그러나 우리 군은 국방비 부족으로 인하여 각종 첨단무기 도입사업이 줄줄이 좌초되고 있다. 무기가 첨단화되다 보니 무기체계 하나를 도입하고 유지보수 하는데 들어가는 비용도 급격하게 늘어나고 있다. 또 병사들의 급여를 200만 원까지 인상하려다 보니 직업군인들에 대한 처우가 상대적으로 열악해져서 군복을 벗는 인원이 윤석열 정권 2년 들어서 약 2만 명에 육박하고 있다. 육군은 소대장 부족으로 대간첩작전이 불가능한 상태이며 전차, 자주포 등 기갑장비를 운용할 인력이 부족하여 실제 가동률은 70%대로 하락하고 있다. 또 해군은 함정에 시동을 걸 전문인력 부족으로 출동 자체가 힘들어지다 보니 기존 인력의 과부하가 상상을 초월할 정도로 누적 되고 있다. 이대로 2년이 더 지나가면 윤석열 정권이 끝날 때 쯤엔 대한민국 군대가 완전히 붕괴될 위기에 처해 있다. 윤석열 대통령이 비상계엄을 통해서 반국가세력의 체제전복에 대해서 대국민 각성을 유도하였다고 하더라도 현실은 군대가 무너지고 있기 때문에 윤석열 정권은 군대를 붕괴시킨 책임에서 자유로울 수가 없는 상황이다. 그렇다면 해법은 없을까?
